The excellent location and size of the Town of Fairs makes it an attractive venue for the organisation of meetings, conferences and sundry events.
To this effect, in addition to the rich array of lodgings which range from rural establishments to a Palace-Spa, Medina del Campo has 3 infrastructures especially adapted to current needs: The modern Municipal Auditorium, located in the Historic and Commercial Centre of the Town, the Castillo de la Mota and the Isabel la Católica Integrated Cultural Centre.

MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM

The auditorium hosts a main hall or auditorium per se, with 504 seats, on top of which there are public areas, box offices, a small cafe and a cloakroom. The completely diaphanous entrance hall can also be considered as a multipurpose room, thereby completing the available space of the Auditorium.

The external appearance of the building is metallic, as it is finished off with sheets of aluminium which have received a treatment that does not require any maintenance; with regard to the interior, it is minimalist in terms of the spaces, and materials such as plaster board or viroc have been used (board made from shavings of wood).

The auditorium is the headquarters of the Municipal School of Music and venue for the celebration of Cinema Week, Music Week, as well as diverse theatrical performances, concerts...

ISABEL LA CATÓLICA integrated cultural centre

El edificio ha sido rehabilitado, ya que parte del mismo era el antiguo convento de franciscanos descalzos titulado de San José, fundado en 1603 sobre unas casas de propiedad de la familia de los Álamos.

Capacity 250 people.

CASTILLO DE LA MOTA (MOTA CASTLE)

Monument declared B.I.C (Heritage of Cultural Interest) in 1904.

The second floor of this building is equipped for hosting cultural activities such as conferences, congresses, meetings, courses...., as it has an assembly hall with capacity for more than 100 people, and two other smaller capacity rooms.
